As a Faithful Father……..

Matthew 16:26 “What will it benefit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his life?”

In verses 24-27 Jesus is telling the disciples that if they wish to come with Him, they are to deny self and follow Him.

We need to look at our life periodically and re-align our priorities to what God would have us to do. Are we making God central in our life, or is He just a part of our life?

I know it’s easy to get off balance in our life. But as a Faithful father, let’s make sure we’re spending time in God’s Word and with our family.

Respond

Don’t let the world distract you and lure you from what’s most important. Focus on Jesus, and follow Him. Then you won’t forfeit your soul, and you’ll be the father God intended you to be!

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it. What will it benefit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?” Matt. 16:24-26
